Hiya Guys,

I am an English firefighter from the UK midlands looking for a week or two holiday in the USA hunting prarie dogs, woodchucks, coyotes etc. I am really struggling to find a suitable guide service and was hoping someone on here could point me in the right direction. Can any of you guys put me on to a good reputable guide that could provide the sort of hunting that I am after at a sensible cost ???

Look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Thank You.

I just got back from a prairie dog shoot in Ft. Yates, ND. NO GUIDE needed. We stopped at the Game and Fish headquarters and they circled our map on best places to check. The $5 map has GPS locations of most of the dog colonies on the Reservation. Each one is also color coded so you know if it is private land, Tribal land, etc. We spent $85 for a Reservation permit that is good in both North and South Dakota and a ND state permit just in case.
When we left the office, we drove 5 miles to the first one on the map. As a courtesy we knocked on the door of a lady whose house was about 100 yds. from the dogs. She said "don't worry about the cows, when you shoot they will go over the hill". We spent both days right there. It was 5 miles from the casino where we stayed.
Right now they are very anxious to get rid of as many of them as they can. The Tribal government has decided to poison overcrowded colonies to cut down on the populations.
Our room at the casino was $90 with a AAA discount it was $77. A wonderful steak oscar in the Hunter's Den made the day end perfectly. Aged steak as tender as could be.
Please come help the Game and Fish stop the poison. Fly into Bismarck and it's an hour south.

If coyote hunting day and night is your main desire..then contact Tony at the link below. He's in lower New Mexico and hunts coyotes all the time... and his dog decoying action is great as well. I believe there is another link aritcle here on Longrange... about the 5000 coyote kills... it's about Tony and what he can do for hunters wanting the coyote experience. He also has prarire dogs in the area as well... but coyotes are his main thing.
