Hey all! I purchased the factory model from Grice's Wholesale last year. I was told by Grice's that Ruger did a special run of only 300 .358 Winchester's for them in their American platform. I took off the factory stock and put it in a MagPul Hunter stock and added a 4-port beast muzzle brake from MBM. It wears a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x50 that has been bedded into Burris Zee Rings and carries a Vortex bubble level. Fifty-eight documented rounds through her. IMR3031, Sierra 200gr ProHunters, Starline brass, Federal Primers are the only components it has seen. Consistently groups under an inch @ 100 yards and under 2 inches at 200 yards (using Sierra round-nose bullets) with not a whole lot of development. Would most likely do a little better with a higher-end/higher BC bullet. As is the rifle recoils about like a .22-250 and is a HOOT to shoot. My thoughts were to put this thing together for hunting deer in the woods from a tree-stand, but honestly my tree/ladder climbing days are over. Would be a great/cool rifle for a youngster to shoot/hunt with (w/ear protection ;)). Scopes power-adjustment ring has a tiny scratch from 'safe rash' but is otherwise blemish free (see pic). Will come with original box/paperwork and factory stock (if wanted) and the MagPul stock still has additional spacers for adjusting length of pull. Will ship to your FFL for $500.00 shipped and PayPal F&F works for me. Can also throw in some Sierra ProHunters, 1x fired (annealed and prepped) Starline brass, Hornady modified case, and the Lee dies I have for it if interested (for @$50.00 more). Thanks for looking.

Shoots under MOA (with round-nose bullets) fellas! Can hardly ask for more than that from a factory rifle, but I'm sure it will shoot even better with bullets that DON'T have the BC of a brick! I'll entertain all reasonable offers....

Unless you really need the $$ for something else, why not spend some time with it? I've been thru Kentucky twice. From what I remember the terrain is a lot like PA... not too many places for real long shots. It could become your favorite whitetail rifle.

Good point for sure, but my current favorite ( ;) ) is my .280AI. Where I hunt I can either go into some pretty thick woods OR choose to take shots anywhere from 200-500 yards in open fields. Here recently I've really taken a shine to the latter. I'm afraid this particular rifle would just sit in the safe A LOT more than it deserves to. AND, I've recently been bitten by 'Magnum-itis'....so I'd like to put some money towards THAT sickness.:D:D
