Two scopes for $1200?

I have a 338 Edge and 6.5-06 that need scopes. The 338 will be used for elk hunting to hopefully 1000 yards once I get good with it. The 6.5-06 will be mostly for long range plinking and prarie dogs.

Any thoughts on which to scopes to buy and stay within budget?

+1 on the Sightron SIII, I just bought one off Ebay NIB with NIB butler creek flip ups for $670. I also have a Vortex Viper 6.5-20X50 and like it quite well. You can get a couple of them for under $1000 and their warranty and customer service are top notch.
