I don't like hunters spraying bullets at running coyotes and missing which is the usual outcome. Educated dogs!
But this situation is entirely different.
You took number one down standing in fine form and took on number two on the run. Number two was now already educated (could not be helped) and you beat the odds with another well placed shot. Instead of an educated coyote escaping you cleanly harvested it.
