Tungsten Core Bullets?

Who would like a 30 caliber bullet that weighs 268 grains...but is the same size as a 220 Sierra Matchking? Oh yeah, the BC should be around .96. Yes, they apparently do exist!

Anybody have any experience with these or similar bullets? Thoughts or theories?

Those bullets have been around for years now. Some have tried them at great expense. They didn't really shoot any better than the lead core bullets already being produced so the BR shooters quit using them. Yea great BC but if they aren't more accurate it won't cut it in today competitions. It's my understanding that PRL ( the original company near Oak Ridge, TN) now has many contracts with the goverment for pistol type bullets of the same concept and doesn't produce many of the rifle bullets anymore. The original concept was that they disinegrate(sp?) on contact for indoor shooting ranges and crowd control.
