Hunted southern Wyoming, unfortunately the dope about bad winters turned out to be true. Saw 4 nice bucks 2 days before the season and spent the next 6 days trying to turn up a shooter. Ran into the warden on 10-4 and he told us we were hunting a dead zone. With plans to leave for another area of the region the afternoon of the 5th we headed out that morning and watched a buck push some does over a distant ridge. We gave chase and ran into 2 legal bucks feeding through some cedars. Ranged a 3x3 and 328 and sent a 145 lrx out of a 7mm weatherby into his boiler. My brother was lucky to catch this old 2x3 sneaking out of the same canyon. The older buck had no teeth left. Typical Wyoming weather: wind, rain, snow, fog, bright sunshine

Congrats! I didn't get my mule tag this year in Colorado but should have Wyoming next year. I would take either of those deer in a heartbeat.

Congrats on your successful hunts. I love seeing the photos and reading the stories! I am waiting on a AZ Strip Tag ! Maybe next year.....
I am really thinking about a WY high mtn hunt. I have a lot of points .
