I have heard people say for very precise shots that a first focal plane reticle is too thick. The TMR from leupold has that small center cut out of it. Does this help at all does this on a first focal plane make it so that on higher power the hole is too big and dont have anything to aim with? Thanks

Not at all, the TMR and even reticle thickness aren't a hindrance for precision shots in those scopes with FFP. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

For a coparision, a 1 1/2'' sticky dot is easy to center and just fits at 400 yrd.I love the reticle.
