You are correct. But many will upgrade over time. That's the beauty of it all , you can always change it up if you desire.

They do make a b14 hunter. It's lighter. I just bought my wife one in 30-06. It's a great rifle. They are known to shoot great just like a tikka. I really like the stock it wears.
