Tikka T1x

Wanting to get a synthetic bolt action rimfire rifle in 22LR. I have a suppressor and want the threaded barrel but wondering if 16" barrel would lose anything compared to a 20" barrel. I really like Tikka stuff but open to other recommendations. Budget is $1000.

I want to do some long range work and have been shooting my CZ457 out to 200 so I am getting there. But want something synthetic.

Get the tikka, 16 or 20 inch barrel won't matter for accuracy. If you are using for hunting suppressed definitely go 16 if you can find one. I bought 2-20" because the 16 weren't available.

With a 1K budget your best bet will be a Bergara B14R with steel barrel. Has a 700 footprint so it is easy to customize later down the road and is amazingly accurate. I have one that is every bit as accurate as a Vudoo I had.......for 1/4th the money. I have also had the T1X and while they are accurate, they are just not on a level with the B14R.

My bone stock Tikkas shoots pretty darn good
I have 1 in 16 inch
1 in 20 inch
Shooting cheap cci standard velocity both will shoot under 1/2 at 50 yards.
More expensive ammo really makes it shine
But I'm just hunting with mine.

Not yet I am on vacation. Kids out of school for spring break. Will be back in town Sunday night and will pick it up on Monday. I will get an optic mounted up, Lord willing, and get some rounds downrange Monday afternoon or Tuesday. Will definitely follow up with a report.
