Tikka 7mm to a 6.5 PRC

So I've got a project I'm looking at I bought a tikka lite in 7mm to help a guy out so he could buy his son his first deer rifle although it's a good shooting gun like all tikkas are it doesn't shoot as well as my custom 7mm so can I turn this tikka into a 6.5 PRC if so what barrel length would you use and any information you think would help I'd appreciate it

Yes, easy conversion to do since the Tikka actions are all one length (with different bolt stop) and you already have a magnum bolt face. Pick up a shouldered prefit barrel or have a gunsmith install.

If it were me, I'd go with a 22" barrel but a lot of guys go 24".
