Finally was able to get a 3 piece Heart stopper with stipple grip checked off my bucket list! I feel like a lucky man, it's a work of art.

54@28" 62" long
Riser:Bocote/Black Ebony Webwood
Limbs:Bamboo cores, Bocote veneers
Elkhorn tips
Stipple Grip
Matching quiver

I was told a couple years ago that Duane had stopped making longbows bows and my heart sunk. He still makes a few bows a year but not made to order like I'd hoped. He finally contacted me back with a bow he was finishing up that was close to what I was after spec wise and I jumped on it needless to say!

Just picked up some arrows yesterday and working on getting it tuned. Had him make a matching quiver for it as well and am thrilled with how it turned out. Shoots as good as it looks, very smooth with no stacking or hand shock, just like my other Thunderhorn. Can't wait to hunt with it.

My 1st Thunderhorn was a Coup Stick 57# @28" 60" long that I bought used made in 1996 by Duane Jessop, I have killed 4 or 5 Javelina with it. Fell in love with it and knew I had to have one of his 3 piece bows.

Outstanding! Nice looking Java. That is a great looking bow and probably shoots just a good. I have a Bob Morrison with checkered grip. I really like your choice of arrows. I normally shoot wood but have tried several brands and type of matierials in my Hybrid Longbows. I have a set of Gold Tips that look natural and have been looking at the Black Eagles. I build bamboo laminated with osage bows but when the going gets tuff I alway go back to one of my Glass Longbow.
Congratulations on the pig and new bow. What part of AZ are you hunting. I chased those little stinking devils several times around Tucson in those dry washes but never connected. My hunting buddies just got back from South TX and they took several of the Java's with Selfbows and stone points.

That's good stuff for sure. I have an Osage Orange stave that I've had for probably 10+ years now that I planned on making a self bow with to hunt, but never did magically make itself haha. Had plenty of turkey feathers saved up I'd planned on using for wood arrows, and wanted to knap some Obsidian points for arrowheads. Unfortunately knapped broadheads are illegal to hunt with. No matter, I'll probably never get it made anyways lol. I have waaaay too many irons in the fire.

Mainly have hunted a couple hours kinda East of Tucson all around For them little stinkers.
