Thoughts on OCW test

Are you still trying the 127 lrx? If so you are waisting your time and money seating them like you would a Berger bullet. Go to .080 of the lands and deeper in .020 increments. I bet they will be the most accurate about .10-.120 deep.

You may be correct but copper wash near the muzzle is fairly common and doesn't necessarily degrade accuracy. Some fouling actually improves shot-to-**** consistency.

With that being said, it sure couldn't hurt to strip the bore completely and start over. Virtually all of my rifles group more consistently with a fouled (but not overly fouled) barrel.

I cleaned it thoroughly and that's after 2 shots . Tried them in another gun and exact same thing after 2 shots. Dorothy's yellow brick road.

This was with Barnes 127 lrx in a creedmoor with H4350. These were shot with a .050 jump. Maybe play with seating depth at 41.0? Peterson's brass has less capacity than most so I was compressed at 42 grains.
SEE what happens when you go to the dark side( creedmore)

Said the hell with copper bullets. Went to Berger's and this is the result. Every time I try something different than Berger's I regret it. This is 45.3, 45.6, and 45.9 gr of Re 26 in Peterson's SRP brass with a 156. One of those 3 charges has worked in 3 consecutive guns all of different makes. Really wanted to shoot copper bullets for a inside 400 yards gun but…..

I shot this doe to try the 156 Berger's yesterday afternoon. Shot was 233 yards. She ran 10 yards and fell down, got up then ran nearly 600 yards with a spotty blood trail. Not sure how that's possible but has been my experience with a Creedmoor every time.

0 copper with Bergers
the bergers got ya up and shooting good , thats a great group

what do you think caused only two 127 LRX bullets to smear copper all the way to the end ???

are the LRX supposed to be a softer alloy or something to keep em expanding out at farther distance ??? or ya think that lot of bullets may have been under/oversized ??? too bad you didnt catch the bullet in the target to see what those grooves looked like
