After a good off season of hunting coyotes with my business partner, Joel Russo… Joel had the idea for a build… something small enough with a suppressor it can be "handled" something fast enough to give a flat trajectory.. something that is accurate and efficient.. intended purpose to dispatch coyotes at 3/400 yards at night with thermal imaging.

Well, after some debating on the build.. we pulled some parts out of our safes and began the build process. This is what we came up with…

22-250 AI
18" barrel suppressed.
75gr AMAX at 3200 fps

load development.. 3 shots at 100yds.

All I know is… I feel sorry for the coyotes and can't wait to get out together and take some yotes! gun)

Very nice! Any idea of package total weight? Those 75 A-max's must of been locked in the safe, we're not seeing many here. Care to list scope, barrel ets.? Thanks, nothing but envy from here.

We were lucky enough to have about 900 75amax for a rainy day... Glad we did..:cool:

Muller Barrel
SB 5-25 scope
Weight 12-13#

Really looking forward to getting out with it. gun)

Now that is one heck of a cool gun! To no surprise, it looks like it's a shooter too. Nice work men. Thanks for posting.

How quite is it, do you where ear protection while shooting or is there no need?

You don't need hearing protection! It sounds like a .22 short when you pull the trigger..:)

Chase took it out to the ranch this weekend to see if he can find any coyotes to introduce it to.

Nice one gent's! Sadly, just mentioning "suppressor" to some here in Iowa gives them the vapors. And most of those are either elected officials, or there very blue state supporters.

Anyway enough cryin' for what I can't have, Sweet looking rig!

I like it. Looking about doing something similar in 22-243. Im thinking 20" barrel because gem tech states the minimum barrel length using the can I have and a 22-250 is 18" I am thinking 20" with the 22-243 should be fine. What powder and charge?
