For all who say “why not shoot a bullet designed for hunting?” Well this is why....shot pretty nice 8 point yesterday evening my shot was not great..
The deer was tending a doe at about 130yrds in the pouring rain. He was quartered towards me at a pretty hard angle. I was going for the center of his chest at the base of the neck and well i jerked. I knew i had hit even in the rain with my suppressor on i could hear the bullet impact. We looked and could not find anything in the rain and water. I went to look this morning and he had ran the other direction we looked. I ended up hitting right behind the front shoulder but since he was quartered so hard the bullet traveled through lungs and broke 3 ribs going in then liver and all the way through the guts. It was recover in the opposite ham in the hide. All from a lowly creed and a 140 berger hybrid..
6.5 creed hornady brass rl16 and a 140 hybrid
2600 fps and 2000ftlbs at impact
Recovered weight 66.6 grs
Est deer live weight 235-245
Pics for proof that even a target bullet can kill even with a bad shot. Use what you wanna use.... 5C2F5341-4E3C-4519-98B1-AE77A2361473.jpegB1FFB5A1-61F3-433F-883D-216C2F953FB4.jpeg18B806D9-D3F8-4C39-8736-DFE9563C7D32.jpeg

Berger 215 hybrid is one of the best “non hunting” target bullets out there. I’ve hunted with them for a few years now. Never had a failure but I always make sure the tips are clean.
