I have a Savage LWH in a long action and have a Leupold VX3i 4.5-14X40 SF CDS on the way.

Which Talley's lightweight integral rings would be the best to get me the lowest but still give me room for eye relief adjustment backards without the front of the base hitting the bell? I do have a Savage LWH in SA with non extended integral rings but don't recall if they are low or ex-low with a Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14x50 and that base will hit the bell at probably 37mm. I'll post a pic so it's clear what I'm talking about.

Does anyone have this combo that can give me first hand experience?

I was looking at the front extended only low #73X725 and the medium #74X725.

Thanks for the response, I did call them and they advised the medium just to be safe but didn't know if the lows would work or not since he didn't have a rifle or scope there.

I'd hoped to get them as low as possible, and someone had some real world experience with this combination. I wanted to rest on my cheek instead of head high and on my jaw if possible.
