Truthfully, not much.

Doubt it would be worth the effort and money. After all, are you really going to shoot an Encore at the distance that 26" barrel will not give you what you want?

Like Bounty says, you are not likely to notice any difference. Personally I would stay with a T/C product - you only get one set of eyes.

Ian, I just wanted to check and see if you had a chance to shoot the encore at farther distances? If so, how did it do? I haven't ordered a new barrel yet, but it will probably be done soon.

Also you can check Virgin Valley Custom Guns and they make barrels for Encore's. They can make one I believe out to 30". They have alot of custom stuff for the encore's.

I currently have Fox Ridge bull barrel cal.308 improved.Hope to shoot it this spring. So far I've only fire formed brass. Also got it w/thumb hole stock like that a lot.
