I am looking to get a new stock for my Rem 700 BDL 300 Win Mag Sporter. I was looking at a B&C Medalist Classic but I can't find any in stock right now. Would I run into trouble if I go with the B&C M40 style stock for the varmint contour barrels even though I have a sporter contour? I am looking to improve accuracy over the plastic stock that came on the gun.

Thanks!!

I am assuming you are looking at the B&C Medalist based on price point. If that is the case, then the H-S Precision is another great stock for just a few $$ more - and they are in stock just about everywhere. A used one comes up now and again on LRH for about $225 or so.

Thanks for the replies guys. I bought the B&C M40 stock and I am well pleased with it so far. I havn't had a chance to shoot it yet.

I went with the b/c medalist varmint/ tactical stock

I just could not justify over 1k for the aics stock

Rem 700 338 lapua
