Went for a walk over the weekend to check where the bushpigs are causing the most damage to the the crops, to get the dogs in at some time.

Spotted this male spurwing in the soybeans. They do cause damage to the crops but the meat is excellent. My 264 Win Mag is zeroed at 200m and this was a bit further. I took rest against a wire fence pole and squeezed of the shot and sent the 129 gr Sierra on its way. The bullet hit on the wing. Measured it at 300 m.

Dam !!!!!!

I have seen some good retrievers get the crap slaped out of them and even a few
hunters that got careless with a wounded and bad temperd goose but that thing could
add a new meaning to the term "*** WHOOPIN".

We aslo do wing shooting on them and if we wond them we shoot them again before sending the retriever. They can tear you a new one.
