Spotting scope options?

I've owned one of the bigger 20-50x60 type scopes and found that the extra weight had me leaving it in the truck more often than not. So I would like to find a nice compromise between the low magnification 'compact' type spotters and the standard, bigger/heavier models.

I've strongly considered the Nikon Fieldscope ED 15-30x50, weighing in at just under 20 oz (which would be a great packable scope) but I'm afraid I'd be disappointed in only reaching 30x zoom. The Leupold GR 12-40x60 looks like it would be a good option but it weighs in at 37oz. So my question, what options are out there in something like a 15-45 or 20-50 x 50 or 60 that keeps the weight in the 30oz range? Any ideas?

That might be a tough requirement.?

I've found the Leupold GR 12-40X60 to be about a perfect compromise between weight and real usability. I've tried lower weight ones, and eye relief was more critical, not nearly as comfortable to use either.

Heck, alot of the rifle scopes we use weigh over 30 oz.

Let us know if you find a good one.
