Spot&stalk bear on a budget

I've never done a bear hunt but have always wanted to. Been to Colorado & Wyoming on DIY hunts for elk deer & antelope.anyway I guess for this a guide would be my best option? Swan mountain outfitters near kalispell, mt. Has a bear hunt $2750. That's about my limit. With two teenagers hard for me to justify any more. Anyone hunted with them? Or does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

In Idaho are meat, head or hide required to be brought out?

You don't need to bring meat but you do have to bring Hide & head. The F & G have to pull a tooth for research.

Hope to rat hole enough back to swing one of the group hunts at non typical outfitters. Along with a great hunt I bet a guy could learn a thing or two!
