Southern Arizona

Does anyone know of a 1000 yard range in southern arizona? Vacationing with family in Tucson, and I brought my rifle. The Tucson Rifle Club has a 1000 yard range but you have to do a match before using that facility. They do have up to a 500m range that is available to the public, which is my backup plan.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have it figured out, only other way to get further than 500m would be to find a spot on BLM. I shoot at the TRC and still havent made a match so that I can use the 1000yard range. The 500m silhouette range is great, especially if you're taking the fam
