Jerry i will post pics of the terrain an i shot him in the neck with tc contender pistol chambered in .223 from a distance of 120 +/- yards

Thank you sir he was old 7.5 to be exact.and yes the backstraps and tenderloins ate real good. Lol

Depends on the area. Down south they tend to start losing velvet the end of August, the beginning of september.

Outstanding! That is a nice deer. That is a good area to hunt. I hunt with my 6.5 JDJ Contender just north of Uvalde around Campwood on a ranch. He has a lot of pigs, some cull bucks and some years extra doe tags.
