Appreciate the kind words fellas, a little encouragement can go a long way with a 7 year old. Shortly after an encounter with a 6 point that we were not able to get on I was going over what I needed to do to help him learn from it and I looked at my boy and could see the tears welling up. Asked him what was wrong and he broke down a bit and says you've killed a bunch of deer and papaw and uncle Bradley's killed a bunch of deer and any of y'all would have gotten that one too and he wasn't ever going to be able to be good at it. Kinda struggled a bit trying to explain how we've all been there and will be there again. Ended up showing him some missed opportunity threads I'd read on here and stumbled on the thread I started last year when he got his first one. He sat there and read every comment. Had a big ol smile back on his face by the time he finished.
