I've had a he'll of a time driving pins into a 7075 upper and lower. Both Anderson. Anybody else have this problem or is my hammering arm misfiring as I've gotten older? Everything else I've worked on has been 6061.

I had one Anderson that was for sure tighter than it should have been.

I might need to invest in some aftermarket pins to see if they will fit properly. I had to grind the pin for the forward assist.

I got tired of non functional forward assist many years ago along with dust doors that loose the little clip and flop around. if the bolt won't close forward assist is not going to save your day.

So you buy the uppers With Out either of those pieces of junk!
