Hello to all, been an avid LR hunter for years now and had no idea there was such a cool forum....( there i thought i was special......
)
I have been using a SMc in a 6.5x60 chambering for years now as my "dynamite shoot" rifle, getting a custom hunting rifle built as well.
Just wondering if anyone else has heard of or using this "style" chambering and what thoughts you may have.
--Best hunting year ever: twin brother takes a 6point bull elk at 980 yards shooting a sako 338 lapua mag.... two days later my dad and i take two more elk at 800 yards both within ~45 seconds using the same rifle. ( filled all 3 tags )
--WORST hunting year ever: twin brother takes a 6point bull elk at 980 yards shooting a sako 338 lapua mag.... two days later my dad and i take two more elk at 800 yards both within ~45 seconds using the same rifle, same location. ( had to carry out 3 elk on our backs up hill the whole way...... )
