I was in matsu a fair bit last winter for first time in a while and it's definitely going downhill!!!

Yeah it's wild. Wife's job has us in the area about half the year, anchorage is obviously a mess but the valley has a real crime issue as well. The culture has just been really tolerant of crime statewide for a lot of years, and it really shows.

People from outside forget were a big resource state that has a tremendous amount of highly productive people. But those resources helped create what is essentially a massive welfare state. Grandparents always said idle hands are the devils work... to many ilde hands up here.
