small sample of ADG 338 edge brass

i bought 100 pcs. they came in 50 plastic ammo boxes. sadly way too short for my 4+" round.
i weight sorted each box separately.
the spread for box one was 276.1 to 278.2.... 2 gr spread
take out 5 outliers and you have 276.5 to 277.9 1.5 gr spread
box 2
was 276.3 to 278.4 2.1 spread
take out 5 and it is 276.5 to 278.1 1.6
i will combine the two lots and post my end result
the brass looks great..i have not done necks yet

if i use them as is
i can do a
50 pc lot at 276.5 to 277.1
and a 38 pc lot if 277.2 to 277.9
and use the rest for load development, neck turning/dummies.
BUT
i will uniform primer pockets( changes weight, but not volume),
neck turn( changes weight but not volume)
i do not see burrs on the flash hole,
but will check length. i doubt i will trim till after firing.

the necks seem to run between 14 and just over 11 thou.
i am able to get better that a 90% cleanup at 11.8.
that is a bunch more than the 10 on the bb.
primer pockets/necks and resort tommorrow

Why dont you use all for the same purpose? Ive tried weighing brass and i cant tell the difference between brass thats only 2gr difference.

Then you dont have to worry about keeping track. You could test it by taking your lightest and heaviest and shooting them at distance to verify.

I would try and h20 weigh the heaviest and lightest and see volume difference. It's so easy to have the smallest amount of difference when they cut the bottom extractor grove to give weight difference. Or if you want to be super secret squirrel shoot every one on a broken in barrel and sort them by velocity. The brass is very strong as well. I load 92.5 for 2850 in a 28" barrel and could neck size the first three firings. I have 50 300 rum brass I am planning on turning into 28 Nosler.

yes they could be shot as is, esp for a hunting rifle,
but
this is a target rifle and i am a firm believer in small details.
i am not going to try and convince anyone,
but i have seen the benefits.
my 300 win mag heavy gun for 600/1000 yd br started life with
200 pc of RWS brass. they were plus or minus 0.05 gr in 100 rd lots.
did it matter ? i do not know, it was the only way i shot the rifle.
it shot right at 0.31/0.32"
at 200 yards
i am retired, i have time for very small details.

OK i just finished turning necks.
i was going to uniform primer pockets but i have had pockets move after the first
firing and have decided to uniform AFTER the first firing.
in the tumbler for a cleaning and will look at weight again.

weight sort is lower due to metal removed from necks but not a narrower spread.
i have plenty of time and may actually do a vol check BUT think i will do it after a fire forming load/resize. i have 260 rn to ff with. i doubt we will see anything until after may.

Less than 1% on the weight spread is as good as it gets and mirrors what I have seen. I shot the lightest next to the heaviest and the light one was actually slightly faster. What Im saying is the minor difference in the case was overcome by the normal ES of the load. At 2k it will all matter. But I dont know how you will be able to sort brass that good. h2o sort a case 10 times and if you cant get repeatable enough numbers to see small differences you may have to sort by vertical impact on target.

has anyone got AMP settings for the ADG brass ?
i will ship some off if i have to but it would be great if someone has already done the work.
