I like to try and preserve my kid's first big game animals in an interesting way that they can keep for the rest of their lives. These are not huge trophy's, just simple ways to make a reminder that will last a life time.

So who else gets creative to make their own mounts?

Photo 1 Son's first buck. Brass casing in knot hole from kill shot. Mounted on fencing slats from grandpa's old corral that was torn down years ago.

Photo 2 Matched elk sheds from sons unsuccessful cow elk hunt. Also mounted on fence slats from old corral.

Photo 3 Son's first buck. Lamp base made from drift wood found on family walk along the Yellowstone river. Brass case from kill shot.

Photo 4 Son's first buck and my little buck shot out of the same herd. Brass cases from kill shots. Lamp base is also drift wood from family walk. Sign from antique store.
