Does anyone know what is going on with the Winchester Short Mag case. Law suit? Tikka is charging 3% more for any rifle chambered in it. Who is getting the 3%? Ruger has stopped building WSM's altogether.

Just looked at Beretta USA and according to them the 3% simply is a Royalty fee to Winchester, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

This might be the life saver of the Rem Short mags as they were shortened cases from their own Ultra Mag case their would be no way anyone could charge Rem for that it would be like charging for thr 17 Rem Fireball because it is a shortened 223 or charging for the BR cases because they are shortened 308's then the 308 because it is a shortened improved 30-06 or mabe all cases of this bolt size have to pay the Germans because they are all bases on shortened or lengthened 7mm Maustr cases.
