Shooting @ 600 for the First Time?

Picked up a box of 175s yesterday, they look almost identical to the 168s just a longer boat tail. I figured they would be a little longer.

What is the minimal velocity I should try to reach for 600-1000 yards?

At 100 yards I usually able to keep them under an inch. Best group being .440"

At 200 I average 1.5" and best group about 1.125"

Have you ladder tested your rifle, If you reload do you have a good idea what the speed of your round, do you know the runout on your rounds. When you move from 100, 200 yards it turns into a different game at 600 yards and beyound. All of the things ( information) is right here on this site to put you on target. But and it's a big one BUT you have to know what your rifle is doing, before you can expect it to shoot well. My range officer told me "your a pretty good shooter BUT You dont know a thing about that weapon your holding. That was 47 years ago. Im still learning my weapon.
