I’m just wondering how most people get their meat, as well as their capes and antlers back home on a fly to hunt? I’m thinking just checking a cooler as luggage is probably the best and least costly option but would like to know if there’s a better way.

I haven't done this myself, but I think game processors in the area you're hunting will cut up and package your kill then deep freeze it and package it in dry ice to be shipped to you in a very timely manner.

The cooler luggage check-in when even paying extra for overweight is much cheaper than the meat processor's charges or next day/2-day air shipment. My son and his buddy paid $450 for ~80 pounds of venison from MT to FL. As cohunt noted, check with the airlines, also some allow no more than 5 pounds of dry ice. Two years ago, I have a 40- quart cooler full of deer and antelope meat from MT to CA as check-in baggage for free via Delta Airlines.

I flew from Wyoming to Ohio with a cooler of antelope meat, they said no dry ice so I had to take it out and put it in a trash can nearby. Lady said the fumes from dry ice will kill peoples pets in the cargo area.

Which airline is that?

Nightforce has great tracking capabilities, they are rugged, a bunch of elevation, holds zero forever, and reticles are designed for long range shooting. So if you are looking to shoot long distances constantly, then you need a scope that can take the abuse. -- gilmillan1

Nightforce is such a solid combo of reticle, available elevation, glass that is good enough to shoot at the longest range you can dial. Nightforce has bullet proof construction that can handle the incidental horse rolling or some other rodeo action. -- bigngreen

The total package. Nightforce is the best I have used as far as turret feel and solid detents. I have never had one that didn't track right on and always return to zero. Nightforce NXS is the best value for everything I need. -- Broz
