[QUOTE="Andy grubb, post: 1430768, member: 105429"] Creating this for anyone who is considering one of these. I recently built a Savage using a drop in shilen match barrel from midway. I built mine in 260 rem. 26 inch varmit contour. Dropped this into a choate stock. Factory recoil lug. Set headspace finger tight against go guage. Barrel nut torqued to 40 ft lbl. I did not bed the stock on this one. Using 2 loads and at the first day at the range after a short break in this rig was shooting in the .2s with 2 loads. 1: 142 matchking 48 grs 4831sc .002 off lands fed 210 gm primer. No pressure signs 2980 over magnetospeed. 2: 140 eldm 46 grs 4831sc .015 off lands fed 210 gm primer. No pressure signs 2930 over magnetospeed. Both loads using neck turned new nosler brass. barrel had almost no copper build up after firing 50 rds on this day. Cleaned very easy and bore appears very smooth. I do not have a bore scope so no close up but has had pretty much zero copper fouling every time I hit the range and has performed sub 1/2 moa to 300. Haven't got a chance to go farther with it yet.
