I'm going to be setting up a .308 for long range coyote shooting. I'm probably going to be getting a leupold but i'm not sure which type of turrets would be best. I was either going to get the regular target turrets or the m1 turrets. I would like something that is relatively easy to use. If anyone knows anything about these any information or suggestions would be great.

Thanks

if your going to spend that much on a leupold my suggestion would be spend 200 more and buy a nightforce leopolds are goodscopesdont get me wrong but they are not worth the price they charge

I like the M1 style over the covered target style turrets. The dust caps seem to always be on when you need to dial. And with some of the older dogs they might not give you enough time to fuss with the dust caps.

I have the M1 turrets on all of my varmit guns and love them. The only potential draw back would be the height. Never been a problem for my use but something to consider.

200 more for a nightforce?. what are you smoking The nighforce scopes I have been looking at are in the 1500$ dollar range. A Used Vx11 6x18 with turrets can be found for around 400$. With what you save you can buy the rifle you need.

Go with the M1 knobs. It's what's on both my rifles and my nephew's

im curious as to what leupold and what nightforce scopes you are talking about, that are only $200 apart in price. the cheapest nightforce i have seen is about $1700, a good leupold VX-3 is under $1000. im guessing you are talking about the leupold mark 4's as they are very high.
