Scope for 350 Legend AR Pistol

I'm in the process of building a new 12.5" barrel upper in 350 Legend (midwest deer hunting) for my AR-15 pistol and am wondering what scopes you all might think would be good on top? I don't foresee any shots over 200y, and most would likely be under 100y. I'm an admitted Vortex junkie and like the looks of the Strike Eagle 1-8x, which would allow for 1x up close and anything up to 8x at distance. I've also looked at some fixed 2x / 3x magnification red dots, but I'm a fan of LPVO's. What do you all think, any other brands I should entertain?
