I tend to pay attention to what the military uses. Leupold, NF, S&B

That's what amazes me about the Marines, they are on top of optics. They've been using tangent Theta, and S&B while the army was using mark4s.

I have the VX6HD 4-24x52 and it is amazing. Crystal clear glass, tracks perfectly - I have run it out to 1250 several times. Its on my PRC. I love the TMOA reticle. It is awesome in low light situations.

I'm a huge fan of the TMOA reticle as well. That's what I have in all of my VX6's.

So I should just sacrifice the extra weight and go nightforce? Wanting to spend about 2k and no more than 4 on the low end and no less that 20 on the high end for magnification.

Give the VX6 4-24x52 illum withTMR reticle a look and you won't regret it.

Another vote for the 280AI if you want more barrel life. The new Trijicon scopes maybe worth a look there lighter than the accupower and if the new ones track and clarity are as good as the accupower that would be a solid scope.
