Howdy all. Hey do any of you folks have pics of recovered Scirocco bullets? I'd sure like to see them. Thanks!

I had one and just looked for it and can't find it? I can tell you that if you can make them shoot in your rifle, the terminal ballistics are as good as any! They expand readily and hold together well under high velocity. I'm not sure what the lower limit of expansion is, but I am guessing around 1800-2000? .......rich

I'll be trying the 180gr in a 300 Win Mag. Are they known for being finickey?

I have a couple, a 180 from a 300 rum in an elk (dont remember the exact range but i think around 380 yards), then a couple more the HARPERC sent me, i think one was a 180 grain 30 cal, i will see if i can find the card reader and will try to get some pics up along with specifics.

Well if your after scirocco load data for the 300 rum pm me and ill send you my load for It. I'm not even loading them out to the lands just long enough to where they barely fit in a factory magazine box. This rifle is my packing into the back country rifle. I wish I could find a few targets from it. it groups awesome for just being a sps model I was impressed. in the Sendero though we're run with a extended mag boxes and exclusively Berger bullets.

Whats the trick to them? I have not had much luck

Thanks its for a 300 wsm FN, no extended mag box. I have 300 scirocco in 165, 180, and 190 I got a while back. Tried the 180s out last week, had 5" group at 200m with win brass, fed 215, and 64g H4350. Was not impressed! Same load shoots less than and inch with a 180g accubond.

Hmm that's weird it would make such a huge differance. There is three of us in our little goup that all hunt together that are shooting the sciroccos from the ultras and we've all had great luck with them both with accuracy and performance.

Best of luck with your loading
