Heck, It's H1000 for goodness sake. Nobody's gonna pay $1000 for 8lbs of H1000. Now on the other hand, if it was retumbo or rl26, it may very well go for $2000.

You are absolutely correct. If no one paid those insane prices the prices wouldn't be insane.
Powder has been reasonably available by me as has been brass and bullets, certainly with enough regularity that lack of the three wouldn't prevent me from reloading.

Now primers especially SM/HG and SM/RFL are another story all to gether. Good luck finding either online.

Same goes with Glock 17's and 19's. seen prices $100-$200 over MSRP and which equates to $200-$300 over street price.

I seen 9mm now going for .75c a round VS .18c (pre-panic) and 9mm now is as if not more expensive then 223/556 and seen 223 going for .75c-.90c a round now. These are on line prices.

Absolutely insane.

There's all sorts of overpriced items on GunBroker. It the Craigslist of shooting. People list items that they really don't care if they sell or not. They throw an insane price on it and just to see if anyone is ignorant enough to buy it. There's a guy at work with a 1980s C10 truck. He's been driving it around for the past 8 years with a for sale sign on it. He wants $25000 for it if any of you are interested, but you've got to ask yourself why no one has bought it in the 8 years it has been for sale. I would say he's really not too concerned about selling it. He's just looking for someone who doesn't know better.

The seller can certainly accept whatever the buyers are willing to pay. I am more amazed that there is a buyer willing to pay $500 for 3lbs of H1000. I saw more than that sitting on the shelf yesterday around $34/lb. Things are tight right now, but they're not terrible. I needed CFE pistol yesterday. Had to drive an extra 10 minutes to a store I don't normally go to, but price was fair at $25.99. That being said, once upon a time I lived in a state that wasn't gun friendly (NJ) and had to drive to into PA to get supplies. If you're in an area with only two shops and neither has anything, I guess I can see why you'd be desperate.

People paying over $100 for a pack of primers must know more than I do.

This. People paying $100 for a pound of powder or $150 for a brick of small pistol or small rifle primers are doing so because they are worth it to them! Most of us wouldn't bother at that price because we bought earlier at a price that was acceptable to each of us. In two or three years, we may have to consider paying today's higher market prices, if we use up our supply and demand/supply dictates these higher prices going forward. In the meantime, I salute Sportsman's Warehouse and their policy of limiting purchases of powder or primers to one pound or brick per person per day. And their prices have only risen slightly on powder and I bought a brick of CCI-550 small pistol Magnum primers there this morning for $23.99. There were 6 or 7 bricks on the shelf. They also had a brick of Winchester small rifle primers for $27.99, half a dozen bricks of Federal small rifle Match for $27.99 and half a dozen Federal 210 large rifle primers for $23.99. I may go back tomorrow and pick up a brick of Federal 210's if they are still there.
Patience and perseverance pays off. But I won't criticize someone who is willing to pay much higher prices. It is their decision. Just like it is my choice not to.
