Savage short standard action bolt face to magnum

Savage magnum bolt head, yep.

You'll need to transfer ejection stuff, but should work.

I'm a little nervous about their disclaimer as Savages are made to be swappable.

It says it is a "precision machined ,Drop In replacement."
I think he is just trying to make an up sale with his truing fixture.

that will work just fine. use them in all four of mine

My spare magnum long action bolt head is thicker, I'll just order the correct one instead of modifying it.
SSS supposedly has one too but I have never dealt with them.

long and short action are not interchangeable. the gun shack has the savage ones if your looking to save some money. the PTG bolt head wont give you the false and early pressure signs like creatored primers and rub marks on case head
