Savage Model 10 FCP-5R

I have another decision to make. I have been searching for the Savage Model 10 FCP-SR 24" .308 but their just not out there. I have found a FCP 5R .308 but its about $200 more. $680.00 vs. $860.00
Is it worth the extra money? Does anyone one know much about these rifles? Will the 24" be to heavy or bulky to carry around hunting?
