I picked up a savage short action last summer, and I'm now in the process of building a 270WSM.
I switched out the bolt face from the .473 to the Magnum bolt head. However due to the longer lugs of the SA Magnum bolt head, the firing pin is slightly to short. I have lengthened the pin as far as I can, however still not quite there.
I need to find a WSM firing pin somewhere. I have been looking for a couple months, and now I'm just plain frustrated. I have emailed and called SSS, but have not received a response. If anyone has any ideas, or can give me a lead, I would appreciate it very much.
