Savage fcp-sr barrel

I have a Savage 10 fcp-sr 6.5cm that I plan on replacing barrel and the stock.
I also have a savage axis 270.
Will the savage 10 barrel fit on the axis action?

Model 10 and Axis threads are the same. So it should work as long as the FCP-SR is a small shank, which I believe it is. You will just not be able to use the Model 10 lug. Info is according to a forum comment from Fred at Sharpshooters.
