Savage ejector spring problems

Just ran across this thread and thought I'd update. I replaced the bolt head with a factory replacement from midway last year… checked headspace and I was lucky that it didn't change the headspace. 300 hundred rounds later with various brass and not one ejection malfunction

Sent you an email with information on how I did it. I can't remember if I had to drill the retainer pin hole to accept the Remington pin. If so, that's an easy operation. Measure the outside diameter of the pin, and use an appropriate drill size.
Your pilot hole is already there...

Man, I'm not sure I ever got that message from you! If you don't mind sending another, I still love the idea.
