I started out looking at custom rifles, and would still like a surgeon. In the mean time, what is the general consensus on the Savage bvss in 223? I'm open to a number of rifles, so opinions are welcome.

I have two of them for sale in the Classifieds. :D

Very accurate, fun to shoot, great for a long range practice rig if you want the look and feel without the recoil.

Had one that I used for mid-range F Class at 300-600 yards. With the 1-9 twist barrel 73 grain Bergers shot the best. Consistent 1/4 - 1/2 MOA rifle. Traded it for an LRPV with a 1-7 twist so I could toss 90 grain pills. Load dev is going slow with the new rifle. Having some regrets about trading the BVSS off for the LRPV.

I have a model 12 and love it... i know its not the same model but I would buy another one tomorrow
