Savage 340B

I inherited a Savage 340B .222 form my grandfather. I love to shoot it but it has misfired twice. Once ant the range when I closed the bolt it went off and the first time it was set down on the butt of the stock and it went off. I would like to try and get it fixed. I guess it has to be in the trigger mechanism, do they make a replacement for them any one is aware of or is there a gunsmith on the south side of Houston someone recommends

Might need cleaning. May have been adjusted and needs more sear engagement. See if its trigger is adjustable

Once you get The action out of the stock, I think its only 1 screw, you'll see the problem. The triggers in 340s arent great, but they are basic.

I'm sure a good Smith can fix it or Savage factory return. That's terrifying to have that condition.
