Savage 338 Lapua Action

So about a year ago I remember some talk of Savage making a long action with larger shank that can handle the 338 Lapua case. Any body know if this is going to happen?

Have heard too that they are playing with a new larger action for the lapua. Maybe shot show in Jan?

I used an LRPV/Target action single shot for the 338 RUM Savage build. To date, 1207 yard one shot kill is the longest, thus far.

If not, I'll just have a Lapua barrel to go along with my 7mm and 300 Jazz barrels.

I know this is a old thread but the savage 2010 catalog has the savage law enforcement in 338 Lapua as a factory gun this year.lightbulb
