I have a savage 110 in 338 Lapua bipod precision stock fluted barrel with break I have a Sightron S III 10-50x60. I can get a group of three rounds when I go to adjust the crosshairs and shoot once more it jumps around on the paper I had the rifle in a lead sled strap down only thing I can think of is my rings on the scope to rifle are not adequate enough everything was tight and tort perfectly is it possible the rings were not good enough

I'm frustrated. Please advise
Thank you all

Dump the lead sled. There is a time and place for the sled. Load development for precision is not one of them.

Shoot the rifle off the shoulder as what one would shoot in the field. Shooting from the bench is more relaxing until the load is near final development then shoot prone. Take time between shots if needed. I've shot up to 50 300gr in one shooting session but over several hours.
