So far, the only thing that I have found is a blind magazine for short action or, the magazine well for a regular magazine. Thanks though.

I have been debating if I would like to try one of these in my 30-06 or 7 Rem Mag. And possibly get rid of the blind mags.

Have you called Savage Arms directly?

Yes, and because it's a pre 2003 rifle, they could not help me because of liability reasons (when it was sold and new owners and that they just don't make parts for that old of a rifle).

As I understand it, the screw spacing is different on the old (pre 2003 rifles and today's rifles but it can be done and something I might look into).

I would really like to convert mine to a factory drop plate. But they are really, really hard to find. Both of mine are the flat back versions with the TBR. You may find this helpful.
