Ive got a short action savage. Looking to rebarrel for 600 yard competition.

I do reload.

Looking at 260rem or 6mmbr

26" tube...or would 28 be better.

any other calibers I should consider in my short action.

also will need to get a quality stock and trigger.

I'm in the process of building a rifle for my wife to shoot F-Class with. It is the savage target action chambered in 6.5x47 Lapua with a 28" 1:8 twist benchmark barrel. It will have a stockade stock as well.

Just built a 6 dasher with 1:8 brux barrel 28" tube. went with 28" inch so it can be cut off and rechambered at some point. Tracker stock., building a carry with a stockade stock as well.
