Larry,

I believe the ones imported by Stoeger were before Beretta purchased Sako. There is a recall on all the Sako Finnlights and maybe all Sako stainless units right now. I think the recall extends to all 2004 stainless models

From what I can tell, the rush to get the new WSM out in 2004 caused Beretta to make some stupid decisions. The pre-2004 models are all fine. I think they are the best gun on the market, but I really hate to see stupid decisions like this. I would grab it if you can.
