Hye guys, Im new to this forum but heres my question. I bought a sako m995 7mm Mag from a friend of mine. He's had the gun for years and had hardly ever used it. It still looks like it just came out of the box. I cant find alot of info on this model. Anyway I gave him $400 for it, was that a good deal.

ToddS76,

Welcome to LRH and enjoy!

Yes, IMHO, it was a good deal. Mine is a .300 WM and she's a shooter.

Good luck with it and happy safe shooting/hunting.

Thanks feenix. Have you ever looked for a relacement stock. The only people I could find was mcmillian, I wouldnt mind having a laminated stock for it.

Yes, I have and they are very pricey ... around $800+ range from MacMillan and Lonewolf . Luckily, mine is still in very good shape.

I didn't explore it but you might also want to try http://www.mpistocks.com/index.htm and http://www.hightech-specialties.com/stocks.html, their prices seems to be more reasonable.

If you want laminated stock contact Joel Russo (http://russoriflestocks.com/), he makes awesome stocks. Good luck!
